We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. We would definitely use Sean and Summit Events again and highly recommend them for the best night of your life!”

I was originally paired with a coordinator who was not as proactive/did not project confidence and ability to guide. Mostest was super accommodating with getting me reassigned, replacing my original planner with Lanise within a day of me contacting them. Everything was smooth sailing from there on out! If you’re in Houston I highly recommend Lanise as a month-of coordinator! She consistently went above and beyond leading up to and on the day of my wedding. She is professional, organized, confident, and creative. I am a very Type A person, so it was important to me to have someone I could really trust with the details. Lanise sent detailed recaps with action items after each of our weekly meetings, was available over text when I had questions, smoothly handled vendor communications and even some family coordination for speeches, conducted venue visits, and did an AMAZING job decorating and keeping things moving on the day of. I came in with a pretty detailed vision and provided mockups of my table settings and special decor, but Lanise truly understood the assignment and executed it with such care and precision. I was blown away when I walked into the venue. She did not miss a detail! She was also just a fun and reliable presence throughout the night and even took what ended up being some of our favorite photos for us on her phone. Highly recommend!!!”

“My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. The band worked well together - and we just cannot say enough about how much they added to the party. Patrick joined a zoom call we had w our planner a week or so earlier than the event - and went over every detail - completely putting our minds at ease. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!! They truly made our event the best it could have possibly been! I want to do it again!”

In addition to fueling the dance-floor and and crafting ambiance through music, the DJs also serve as MCs with natural ease and charisma. “My husband and I had been to several weddings with Ace Wedding DJs as a vendor, and several without. Let me tell ya, there is a big difference! We knew we needed Ace Wedding DJs for our wedding this past June and they did not disappoint! Our lead DJ, Avery Echols worked closely with our other vendors to make the night run so smoothly. My husband and I truly did not have to think about anything and could just enjoy the night! Avery also CRUSHED the vibes!! After letting him know our top priority was making it a party and ensuring our guests had fun, he kept the dance floor packed all reception. Our booking coordinator, Wes Echols, was also great to communicate with. He always had very quick responses, provided us with a comprehensive and thoughtful questionnaire for the ceremony and reception, and was overall very helpful. We could not recommend Ace Wedding DJs more!!”

“949 Studio met and exceeded my expectations for the wedding day! Our DJ Mike was considerate of our wants and met with us a few times before the wedding day to ensure everything was nailed down. He double-checked our chosen songs and made suggestions if he thought one of them wouldn't work. He really brought the party to the wedding day! Our MC Matt was top-notch. He made sure that he had everyone's names correct, that our timeline was on schedule, and was able to work on his feet when something didn't happen exactly in the timeline. He was professional and kind and brought the energy to the wedding day! This team was incredible and made our wedding a night we will never forget!! Pictures don't capture just how much fun we had! I can't recommend them enough!”

“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”
